THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Union Minister and BJP senior leader O Rajagopal clarified that the media misinterpreted his remarks about Shashi Tharoor, stating that his words were misrepresented and not conveyed in the intended sense. He addressed this in a Facebook post, emphasizing that certain news media misinformed his remarks.

O Rajagopal clarified his stance, asserting that he believes the BJP will secure victory in the upcoming 2024 Parliament elections from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Rajagopal clarified that his main intent was to emphasize the need for all developmental projects initiated by PM Narendra Modi to reach the grassroots level of people in Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, he highlighted the necessity for Thiruvananthapuram to actively participate in creating awareness.

Rajagopal also remarked on the limited presence of Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor in the constituency.

Rajagopal reiterated that his support for the BJP winning in Thiruvananthapuram is both a personal and political position.
