Idukki: BJP has lodged a complaint with the Idukki District Police Chief after SFI and DYFI activists raised obscene slogans against the Governor. The complaint says that a case should be registered and an investigation should be conducted for insulting the Governor who is the Executive Head of the State according to the Constitution.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan visited Idukki today to participate in a program organized by the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) that is Traders and Industry Coordination Committee in Thodupuzha. It was at this time that the SFI and DYFI activists raised obscene slogans against him. Following this, BJP central zone president N. Hari filed a complaint with the police.

The LDF had called for a hartal in Idukki district as part of the protest against the Governor’s action of not signing the Land Assignment Amendment Bill 2023, passed by the Assembly. A black flag protest was also held against the Governor.
