Ernakulam: NIA has filed a charge sheet against four terrorists in the IS module case in Thrissur. Ashif, a native of Thrissur, is the first accused. The charge sheet has been filed in the case of fundraising for ISIS. The charge sheet was filed in Kochi NIA court. It was found that the conspiracy was carried out by setting up a module centered in Thrissur.
NIA’s investigation revealed that the terrorists established IS module in Thrissur to raise money for terrorist activities and attracting youths to terrorism. They propogated IS concept online. They have carried out thefts in various places including places of worship for IS activities. According to the NIA chargesheet, they have also committed other crimes besides theft.
