THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI(M) leaders tried to ignore media questions on the case involving Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena Vijayan. The Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs had ordered an investigation into the irregularities connected to Veena Vijayan’s company, ‘Exalogic Solutions’ in connection with the ‘monthly payment’ from the black soil company Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL).

LDF Convener EP Jayarajan said that he was unaware of the news regarding the investigation.

Veena Vijayan’s husband and Public Works Minister PA Muhammad Riyas avoided the media.

Former Minister and senior CPI(M) leader AK Balan also avoided the media.

The CPI(M) leaders ignored media questions while they came to participate in the state committee meeting of the CPI(M) today. They left without responding to the questions from the media persons.

A three-member team, including Karnataka Deputy Registrar of Companies Varun BS, Chennai Deputy Director K M Shanker Narayan, and Pondicherry Registrar of Companies A Gokulnath, will conduct the investigation ordered by the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs . The inquiry panel has been asked to submit the report within four months.
