Alappuzha: The police have arrested a DYFI (Democratic Youth Federation of India) activist a month after he assaulted a differently-abled man who had displayed a black flag at the convoy of the Chief Minister at Nava Kerala Sadas. The incident occurred on the 16th of the previous month when Ajimon Kandalloor, a differently-abled individual, was attacked by a DYFI worker.
The accused, identified as Anoop Viswanathan (30), a member of DYFI, was arrested from his house in Moonnamkutti, Kayamkulam. Anoop, who had been absconding, surrendered to the police following instructions from the High Court. Anoop Viswanathan was taken into custody and has been produced in court.
