Thiruvananthapuram: It is reported that the Investigation team of the Registrar of Companies (RoC), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), has collected significant evidence against Veena Vijayan, daughter of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The evidence suggests that Veena Vijayan submitted a false affidavit regarding her company, ‘Exalogic Solutions. RoC has submitted the report to the MCA.
The RoC found several irregularities in affidavit filed by Veena Vijayan for ‘Exalogic Solutions’ at the Bengaluru RoC. The investigation team indicates that she submitted fabricated documents on ‘Exalogic Solutions to the Bengaluru RoC office.
The investigation, initiated based on the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ order, is connected to irregularities involving Veena Vijayan’s company and the ‘monthly payment’ from the black soil company Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL). RoC also discovered multiple transactions between Exalogic Solutions and CMRL, but neither company has provided documents proving they received payment for services rendered to CMRL.
RoC reports reveal that action can be taken against the company Exalogic Solutions, under Section 447 for fraud in company affairs and Sections 448, 449 for falsification of documents under the Companies Act 2013. The report suggests imposing these sections against Exalogic Solutions and Veena Vijayan, with potential imprisonment and penalties.
These sections are punishable by imprisonment and fines. The findings necessitate an examination of the books of accounts of Exalogic and CMRL for further investigation.
