Thiruvananthapuram: Actor and BJP leader Krishna Kumar participated today in the program for the dedication of the Onavillu (ceremonial sacred bow) to the delegates of the Ayodhya Sri Rama Trust by the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The event marked a significant step in the preparations for the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Krishna Kumar also received a pamphlet from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, calling Hindu devotees to take part in the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple from their homes and temples by lighting lamps.

The call to action is part of an initiative to involve devotees in the sacred ‘Prana Pratishta’ scheduled for January 22, 2024 from the devotees’ homes and nearby temples.

The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple Devotees Association distributed pamphlets today, encouraging devotees to chant the Sree Ram mantra during the consecration and to light lamps in the evening. The aim is to engage devotees in a collective spiritual activity, enhancing the significance of the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration.

During the event, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple devotees association handed over the ceremonial ‘Onavillu’ to the delegates of the Ayodhya Sri Rama Trust. A Thiruvathira dance was organized by devotee members at the temple premises.

Following this, a ‘Rama nama japa yathra’ (procession for Ram mantra chanting) was inaugurated, attracting hundreds of devotees from the city to participate in the procession around the temple.

The program organisers expressed their intention to unite Hindu devotees across the state in actively taking part in the consecration ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple on January 22, 2024. This initiative aims to foster a sense of collective devotion and engagement among the community, marking a significant milestone in the spiritual journey towards the consecration of the revered Ayodhya Ram Temple.
