Wayanad: Another incident of tiger attack reported in Vakeri’s Moodakkolli, as a tiger attacked and killed two pigs in a farm owned by local residents – Sreejith and Sreenish. This marks the third tiger attack in the region within a month. The Forest Department has identified the attack as being made by a female tigress named WWL39.
In response to the incident, local residents have gathered and besieged the Irulam Forest Station, demanding the immediate capture of the tiger using tranquilizer darts. The pig farm is located in close proximity to the area where the forest department recently captured a tiger that had killed a youth. The pig farm, owned by Sreejith, was also targeted by a tiger on the 14th of this month, resulting in the death of six pigs.
