CPI leader and Thrissur MLA P Balachandran insults Hindu Gods

Controversy erupts over anti-Hindu remarks of CPI leader P Balachandran

Thrissur: Thrissur MLA and CPI leader P Balachandran’s social media post sparked controversy.  The controversy arose when Balachandran posted anti-Hindu remarks on his Facebook, insulting Lord Sri Rama, Sita Devi, and Lord Lakshmana.

Balachandran insulted Hindu gods through a Facebook post written in the Malayalam language.

The facebook post exposed the anti-Hindu ideology of left-wing politicians in Kerala. This is not the first instance of such remarks from left-wing politicians, and it has ignited a controversy over the issue.

In July 2023, Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer faced strong condemnation from several BJP leaders and Hindu believers for his anti-Hindu remarks. Subsequently, BJP leaders criticized Shamseer, accusing the left-wing Kerala government of adopting a biased and anti-Hindu stance for a vote-bank strategy.

It is alleged that the same strategy is being employed once again by the Thrissur MLA.

Several Hindu believers have stated that the Kerala government should take immediate action against P Balachandran MLA for his anti-Hindu and provocative remarks on Facebook. He should be charged with violating his oath of office.

Following an outcry from various quarters, Balachandran deleted the controversial post today and issued an apology for the provocative anti-Hindu remarks on Facebook. In his apology post, Balachandran stated that he apologizes if he has offended Hindu believers.
