Thrissur: BJP Thrissur District President, Adv. KK Aneesh Kumar, slammed CPI leader and Thrissur MLA Balachandran for insulting Hindu God Lord Sri Rama and the epic Ramayana. Adv. KK Aneesh spoke to the media in response to the CPI leader Balachandran’s anti-Hindu Facebook post.

Yesterday P Balachandran shared the Facebook post written in Malayalam in a way that hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu believers. Adv. Aneesh Kumar said that Balachandran intentionally made anti-Hindu provocative remarks to hurt Hindu sentiments, which could lead to riots. He accused Balachandran, asserting that such anti-Hindu remarks are a strategic tactic employed by left political leaders to appease religious extremists for vote-banking. He added that it is not fair.

Adv. Aneesh Kumar announced that BJP members would organize a protest march to the MLA office in the evening. He also mentioned that he had filed a complaint against the MLA with the Commissioner of Police. Aneesh Kumar added that Balachandran’s post is a violation of the Constitution and a challenge to the legal system of the country.

The BJP district president also stated that CPI leader Balachandran’s Facebook post was seen as an attempt to appease religious terrorists in the state. Anish Kumar informed that BJP would file a complaint and demand that MLA Balachandran should resign from the post of MLA, as he violates his oath of office.
