Kerala Padayatra in Kannur today

Kannur: The Kerala Padayatra, led by BJP State President K Surendran, will take place in Kannur today with the aim of bringing awareness about various schemes launched by the central government to the people. The Padayatra started in Kasargod and it was inaugurated by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Surendran met with the beneficiaries of various central government schemes in Kumbala. He also participated in the Sneha Sangamam program of religious, communal and cultural leaders of Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency.

In Kannur, Surendran’s itinerary for the day includes a morning visit to Payyambalam, and then he will visit the Parassini Madappura Sree Muthappan temple at 8:00 am, then have breakfast with fishermen family members in Tayil at 9:00 am, and at 9:30 am, he will have a meeting with beneficiaries of different schemes of the central government at Achyutanilayam, Pallikkunnu. A press conference will be held at the BJP district office at 10:30 am, followed by a meeting with social and cultural activists at 12:00 pm.

The evening session commences at 3:00 pm with the inauguration of the Padayatra by Mr. Sureshgopi at Town Square which will conclude with an event at the Puthiyatheru Highway Junction at 7:00 pm.

The padayatra will commence in Wayanad tomorrow and Vadakara on January 31. The campaign will continue in Attingal, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Mavelikkara constituencies from February 3 to 7 and will continue from February 9 to 12 in Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Thiruvananthapuram constituencies.

The schedule extends further, with events in Idukki and Chalakudy on February 14 and 15, respectively. The padayatra will then take place in Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Alathur constituencies from February 19 to 21. The final stretch of the Kerala Padayatra will be in Ponnani on the 23rd, Ernakulam on the 24th, and Thrissur on the 26th, concluding in Palakkad on the 27th.
