Wayanad: BJP state president K Surendran welcomed the Additional Sessions Court’s verdict in the Ranjit Sreenivasan murder case, which awarded death sentence to 15 accused in the case. Surendran said that this verdict is a a setback for the left and right fronts who has always extended help to the PFI terrorists. He said this verdict is a victory for the justice system and justice has been served to Ranjith Sreenivasan’s family members, colleagues and the people of Kerala. He was speaking at a press conference in Wayanad.

Congratulations to all the legal team, Surendran said. He said, “The murder of Ranjith Sreenivasan by the Popular Front, a religious terrorist organization was to disrupt the peace in Kerala. It is an incident that had worried the people of Kerala. The PFI terrorists were unleashed in Kerala with the help of the ruling parties and the opposition. This court verdict is a setback for the left and right fronts. This is a blow to the forces that tried to destroy the peace.

CPI(M) always takes action in favor of terrorists. The Muslim League and the CPI(M) are trying to protect the PFI terrorists. LDF and UDF parties known to be the secular parties are giving providing all the help to PFI terrorists.

PFI is operating under the name SDPI after it was banned. They tried to mislead the common people and create riots on a large scale. A major movement targeting the Hindu and Christian communities was planned here in Kerala. Through the strong intervention of the central government, it was possible to avert the impending disaster in Kerala,” said BJP state president. Surendran said that this court verdict is a big warning to the terrorist forces.

The heinous crime happened on December 19, 2021, when Adv. Ranjith Sreenivasan was murdered inside his house. Unlike previous political assassinations in the state, in this case, a hit list was prepared by the accused and brutally executed with precise planning. The act, termed an act of terrorism, gained national attention due to its alarming nature.
