Kochi: The High Court has dismissed the plea filed by Dr. Vandana Das’s father, Mohandas, seeking a CBI investigation in the murder case of Dr. Vandana. The court’s order emphasised that, based on the progress of the ongoing investigation, there is no necessity for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the case. Simultaneously, the High Court also denied bail to the prime accused, Sandeep, taking into account his previous history.
While reviewing the case’s history and the information contained in the charge sheet, the High Court concluded that the circumstances did not warrant a CBI investigation. The court stated that there was no evidence of any lapses on the part of the current investigating officers. Furthermore, the court expressed that there was no indication of a larger conspiracy against the victim.
