New Delhi: Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, has criticized the protest by CM Pinarayi Vijayan and his ministers at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. Muraleedharan stated that the CPI(M) had made numerous promises to gain power, but now the state government is attempting to attribute its shortcomings to others. He made these remarks while speaking to the media in New Delhi.

“Lok Sabha elections are approaching. When they contested the 2016-2021 elections, they made big promises to the people to come to power. But now they have nothing to call their achievements. So they are trying to escape by blaming their own mistakes on someone else,” Muraleedharan said.

Earlier, Muraleedharan had criticized the strike led by the Chief Minister and members of the ruling party as ‘political drama’. He highlighted the misuse of public funds, estimating the protest’s cost to be at least one crore rupees, involving the transportation expenses of MLAs, MPs, and personal staff to Delhi.
