Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter, Veena Vijayan’s company, Exalogic Solutions, approached the Karnataka High Court seeking a plea to stay the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO)’s investigation in the monthly payment case. The petition has been filed against the Central Government and the Director of SFIO. It was filed through Adv. Manu Pratap Kulkarni.
Veena Vijayan’s company, Exalogic Solutions, approached the Karnataka High Court as Veena Vijayan was about to be questioned regarding her company’s connection with Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL)’s monthly payment case.
Yesterday, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking a stay on the SFIO investigation. However, the High Court declined to stay the SFIO’s investigation. The Court also questioned why the investigation of the case should be stopped if nothing illegal has been committed.
Several reports indicate that the investigation team will soon conduct an inspection at Veena Vijayan’s company, Exalogic Solutions. Sources report that the investigation team would issue a notice immediately asking Veena Vijayan to appear in person or submit documents.
Even as the CPI(M) leaders mount their defense around Veena Vijayan, her company approached the Karnataka High Court to stay SFIO’s investigation.
