Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC MD Biju Prabhakar has gone on leave after submitting his resignation letter to the Chief Secretary. He is on leave till the 17th of this month. It is reported that Biju Prabhakar has gone on leave because no further action has been taken on the letter he sent to the Chief Secretary, V Venu requesting him to be removed from the post of KSRTC MD.

It is also reported that he has taken leave amid his ongoing disagreements with Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar. However, Biju contends that his leave is for personal reasons.

Despite having recently returned from a foreign trip, he did not visit the KSRTC office. Ganesh Kumar had informed that electric buses are not financially viable and will not buy these buses anymore. This led to disagreement between Biju Prabhakar and Ganesh Kumar. Following this, Biju Prabhakar submitted his resignation. However, since the matter is currently under consideration by the Chief Minister and no final decision has been made, Biju Prabhakar opted to go on leave.
