Surendran conveyed his appreciation via Facebook, stating, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for bestowing the Bharat Ratna upon the son of the soil, S. Swaminathan, who dedicated his life to the welfare of farmers.”
MS Swaminathan’s relentless efforts played a pivotal role in elevating East Asian countries out of starvation and achieving self-sufficiency in food production in Bharat. Surendran conveyed his congratulations to the Modi government on behalf of the people of the state, acknowledging this prestigious honor to be bestowed upon a Malayali after MGR. He further added that BJP workers would distribute sweets across Kerala to celebrate this momentous occasion.
