Sabarimala shrine to be reopened today for Kumbha Masa Puja

Pathanamthitta: The Sabarimala nada will be opened today evening for Kumbha Masa Pujas after the conclusion of Makaravilakku Pujas. Makaravilakku pujas concluded on January 21. Devotees will have the opportunity to participate in pujas until February 18. The sanctum sanctorum will be opened today, February 13, at 5 pm by Melshanthi VN Mahesh Namboothiri, who will also illuminate the lamps. However, no other special pujas will be conducted on this day, and the shrine will close at 10 pm.

Thantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanaru will perform Abhishekam on the Ayyappan idol after Nirmalyam at 5 am every day. The day’s rituals will follow, including Ganapati Homam, Usha Pooja, Kalabhabhishekam, Ucha Pooja, evening Deeparadhana, and Pushpabhishekam, in accordance with tradition.

Udayasthamana Pooja will be conducted daily, along with Padi Pooja at 7 pm. The sanctum sanctorum will close on February 18 at 10:00 PM.
