Thiruvananthapuram: Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission, Ajay Bhadoo, is set to visit the state today to evaluate the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Scheduled meetings with key officials including Chief Electoral Officer (Kerala) Sanjay Kaul and State Police Nodal Officer M.R. Ajith Kumar are planned from 12 pm to 1 pm. A subsequent meeting with various enforcement agencies has been organized from 1 pm onwards.
Senior officials from a range of agencies including the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, State GST Department, Enforcement Directorate, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Narcotics Control Bureau, Excise Department, Income Tax Department, Railway Protection Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Coast Guard, Reserve Bank of India, and representatives from the State Level Bankers Committee will participate in the meeting.
Later in the day, a comprehensive review meeting with the Collectors and District Police Chiefs is scheduled at about 3 pm to assess the election preparations across the districts in Kerala.
