K Surendran asks how will the central government be responsible for Kerala’s financial crisis

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K. Surendran criticised the Kerala government, accusing the government’s attempt to deceive the people, and he said that the central government is not responsible for Kerala’s financial crisis. Surendran made these remarks during a press conference.

During the press conference, he said that the Kerala government’s claims of inadequate funds from the central government are baseless, and he questioned how the Narendra Modi government would discriminate against Kerala alone. He criticised Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for allegedly diverting attention from the monthly payment controversy and asserted that seeking recourse from the Supreme Court will not yield any benefits.

Surendran further asserted that the Kerala government should request more time rather than pursuing legal action. He stated that Pinarayi Vijayan must take responsibility for the collapse of the governance system in Kerala. He also pointed out that even the Supreme Court has not given serious consideration to the complaint regarding allegations of discrimination by the central government.

Furthermore, Surendran highlighted that, despite the funds provided by the central government, Kerala has not utilised them to address wildlife issues. Nevertheless, the Left Front is attempting to politicise this matter. He criticised the opposition for aligning with the Left Front, while those who previously highlighted KIIFB as a big thing have remained silent on the matter in this budget session.

Surendran asked the Kerala government to present original documents to the Union Finance Minister. K Surendran said that former Finance Minister Thomas Isaac has sold out Kerala through Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).
