Wayanad: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will visit Wayanad tomorrow. Today evening, the Governor will arrive in Kannur. Tomorrow morning, he will visit Ajeesh’s house in Mananthavady, who was recently killed in a wild elephant attack.

It is informed that the Governor’s visit to Ajeesh’s house was delayed due to security issues. It is reported that the Governor has also been provided with special VIP security by the CRPF from Bengaluru. 41 security personnel will be on duty for the Governor’s visit to Wayanad.

The Governor’s visit to Wayanad is scheduled when there has been wide criticisms over Kerala Minister for Forest and Wildlife not taking wildlife attacks in Wayanad seriously. The Minister, AK Saseendran, stated that protests erupting following wild elephant attacks are common and he does not view the incidents seriously.

After the wild elephant attacks in Wayanad, several protests has erupted in the region. However, the Minister has not provided a solution to their grievances.

AK Saseendran also stated that he does not need to visit Wayanad to solve the problem. He stated that there is no need for discussions with locals protesting, instead he feels the need to discuss with responsible authorities about the issue.
