Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high temperature alert for Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kannur districts in Kerala. IMD has forecasted higher than normal temperatures for today and tomorrow. Temperatures are expected to soar 3 to 4 degrees Celsius above normal levels. In Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram districts, temperature likely to reach 37 degrees Celsius and Kozhikode will experience a rise up to 36 degrees Celsius.
The public is advised to remain vigilant between 11 am and 3 pm, as prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to severe health issues such as sunburn, sunstroke, and dehydration.
