Ernakulam: In a significant gold seizure at Nedumbassery airport, customs officials on Tuesday seized gold worth Rs 67 lakhs from two passengers.
Mohammad Shah Dab and Shafiq, both hailing from Kozhikode, arrived in Kochi from the Gulf on separate flights. They were apprehended for smuggling gold in the form of capsules and coins. Both individuals are currently under interrogation by Customs authorities.
