Ernakulam: The accused in the Palakkad Sreenivasan murder case were given weapons training by Jafar Bheemantavida, one of the main accused in the hand chopping case of Prof. TJ Joseph. The crucial revelation surfaced in Jafar’s statement to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Jafar also testified that PFI maintains killer squads with the aim of targeting RSS leaders.

Jafar Bheemantavida, the chief trainer of PFI, revealed to the NIA that he gave weapons training to the accused who directly participated in the murder of Sreenivasan. The weapons training was conducted at Greenvalley, Manjeri, the headquarters of the PFI. He also admitted that he had come to various parts of Kerala as a weapons trainer. He also revealed to the investigation team that the killer squad were piloted by the weapon trainers. This crucial information was obtained from Jafar during the detailed interrogation by the NIA. Jafar, who was arrested from Kannur, has been in the custody of the NIA for the past ten days.

Former Jilla Sharirik Shikshan Pramukh of RSS, A Srinivasan (45) was killed on April 16, 2022. He was hacked to death by a six-member gang of PFI men while he was sitting at his shop at Melamuri, Palakkad, around 1.30 p.m. on April 16, 2022.

The NIA said its investigations have revealed that Jafar Bheemantavida was part of the PFI machinery that had been operating secretly to establish an Islamic rule in the country by 2047. They said that Jafar Bheemantavida was also involved in various ‘attempt to murder and assault cases’ in Kerala. He is reported to be one of the main accused in the hand chopping case of Prof. TJ Joseph. The NIA had earlier found out that PFI had killer squads and they were working to target RSS leaders. This is now confirmed by the revelation of the PFI terrorist, Jafar.

The NIA investigation found that the PFI centers including Green Valley are centers of religious terrorism. Severe training, such as training through killing animals, was also carried out in such centers. Though the NIA had directed the state police to strengthen inspection and surveillance at PFI centers like Greenvalley, the state was not ready to do so. The statement of Jafar Bheemantavida indicates that such groups were protected by the state police.
