Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other ministers have once again come under scrutiny for diverting about Rs 30 lakh from the government treasury. The funds, originally allocated for various government initiatives, were diverted to fund the Chief Minister’s ‘Face to Face’ programme aimed at interacting with youth.
Among the diverted funds, Rs 10 lakh out of the Rs 40 lakh earmarked for the Chief Minister’s Cup International Tennis Tournament and Rs 20 lakh out of the Rs 2 crore designated for the development program of the Youth Welfare Board have been utilized for CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s Face to Face programme.
