Wayanad: The CPI(M) branch secretary through social media, insulted the daughter of Ajeesh, who was killed in a wild elephant attack in Padamala, Wayanad. Jobish George, the CPI(M) Secretary for the Pulpally Surabhi Kavala West Branch, insulted the child through a comment on Facebook stating that it was good that the child’s father died.

The CPI(M) branch secretary posted his derogatory comments under the post of Union Minister’s visit to Ajeesh’s house.

Three days ago, the Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, along with his team, had visited Ajeesh’s house in Padamala. Ajeesh’s daughter shared their problems with the Union Minister and this news was posted on Facebook. Subsequently, CPI(M) branch secretary Jobish George made insulting and hurtful comments below this post.

Several protests have erupted against the Kerala government for not taking the continuous wildlife attacks in Wayanad. Protestors highlighted that the Kerala state government has not provided the necessary assistance to the people of Wayanad or utilized the central government’s funds properly. Kerala state Ministers visited the victims’ houses only days after the incidents. Protests were staged in Wayanad on the day of the state Minister’s visit as well.
