Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will reach Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow will visit Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) to review the preparations for Gaganyaan, the country’s flagship space project. The Prime Minister will also attend the meeting of scientists from 10.45 am to 11.45 am.
The announcement of the crew members for Gaganyaan will also be made tomorrow. The selected astronauts will undergo training at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia and the Astronaut Training Facility in Bengaluru. Four people were selected after various stages of training from around a dozen pilots of the Indian Air Force.
The PM who is arriving in Kerala tomorrow to participate in the concluding ceremony of the padayatra led by BJP State President K. Surendran will also inaugurate three projects tomorrow – one at VSSC, another at the Satish Dhawan Space Center, and the third at the IPRC Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu.
