Thiruvananthapuram: The Federation of Employees and Teachers Organizations (FETO) will protest against the state government’s decision to withhold the February salary of state employees and teachers and the pension of most of the pensioners. Protests will be held in district centers on Monday (March 04). They said that in spite of receiving Rs 4122 crores of central assistance, the non-payment of employees’ salaries cannot be justified.
The government has cheated the staff and teachers by showing that the salary has been delivered to the employees’ treasury savings bank account but prohibiting withdrawal and transfer to their respective banks. The office-bearers of FETO with SK Jayakumar as its President and PS Gopakumar as its General Secretary, informed that the protest will be organized in front of the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram and elsewhere in the district centers.
