Thiruvananthapuram: BJP Kerala State President K Surendran has stated that the death of Sidharth, a Veterinary college student who was found dead at the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) hostel in Pookode, Wayanad district following attacks from SFI leaders in the university, should be considered as a murder.
Addressing the media today in Thiruvananthapuram, Surendran stated that the planned attack led to Sidharth’s death. He cited the instance where a police officer’s daughter was instructed to file a complaint against Sidharth. He also alleged a conspiracy behind it. He further claimed that the Kerala state Home Department had intervened to divert the case.
Surendran questioned Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s silence on the matter and criticized the state’s law and order situation, accusing the Kerala government of dictatorship.
Surendran emotionally highlighted the atrocities by the SFI in the colleges and in Kerala. He then asserted that such atrocities would not occur in any other state in the country. He also criticized the LDF, stating that they had a bad image among the people of Kerala.
Further, Surendran criticized the Kerala government for its failure to disburse the February month salary for state government employees yet, stating that such a government should not continue and that the CM should resign. He concluded by stating that the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will soon leave the UDF after the Lok Sabha election.
