Wayanad: College Dean MK Narayanan and Assistant Warden Dr. Kaanthanathan will provide an explanation to the VC today regarding the death of Siddharth, a second-year student of Pookode Veterinary College. Both were served show cause notices. It is against this backdrop that the VC is seeking an explanation today. An explanation was requested at 4:30 pm yesterday. But at the request of both, it was postponed to today.
The notice raised a question as to why the College Dean and Assistant Warden were not aware of the incidents that took place in the hostel and the student’s death. After listening to the explanations given by both of them, a decision will be made regarding the action to be taken against them. Siddharth’s family had also demanded that the college’s Dean, Narayanan, be suspended. Decisions related to this may also be made after the explanation.
