Thiruvananthapuram: Janam TV Thiruvananthapuram News Bureau Chief Vinod Kumar MK received the ‘Research Fellowship’ provided by the Kerala Media Academy in Kakkanad, Ernakulam.
Vinod Kumar MK received the fellowship during the Media Conclave organized by the Kerala Media Academy at Kakkanad. Kerala High Court Justice VG Arun awarded the fellowships to the journalists.
Vinod Kumar has been selected for the fellowship to conduct a research study on ‘Orphan Children and Media Attention’.
While attending the programme, Justice VG Arun stated that bravery and honesty are two major pillars of journalism. Mangalam News senior reporter JB Paul and Deshabhimani News sub-editor TS Akhil were also honored with fellowships.
Academy Chairman RS Babu presided over the function held at the Media Academy. Kerala Media Academy Secretary Anil Bhaskar, Academy Vice Chairman ES Subhash, Prof. KV Thomas, and Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) President MV Vineetha were present at the fellowship award function. Pratibha C and Devipriya, Journalism and Communication students, received the Prof. KV Thomas Vidyadhanam Trust award.
