Thiruvananthapuram: The scorching heat continues to trouble several districts in Kerala. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high-temperature warning across 10 districts in the state. Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod districts are under a yellow alert.
According to the IMD, temperatures are expected to soar two to four degrees Celsius above normal levels. Palakkad district faces the most severe forecast, with temperatures expected to peak at 39 degrees Celsius. In Kollam, temperatures may reach 38 degrees Celsius, while Kottayam and Pathanamthitta are likely to see maximum temperatures touching 37 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD predictions, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts may experience temperatures rising up to 36 degrees Celsius. People are urged to stay indoors during peak hours, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
