Thiruvananthapuram: Rs 38 lakh are alleged to be missing from the income generated through KSRTC budget tourism. In response, action has been taken against two officials involved in the incident. The missing amount comprises the service income from various depots.
Upon discovering the absence of the funds in the account, both the Chief Traffic Manager and the State Coordinator of Budget Tourism were removed from their positions. However, no formal investigation into the matter has been announced as of yet. KSRTC has stated that a total of Rs 2.5 crore were earned through tourism, out of which 38 lakh rupees have gone missing.
Meanwhile, the salary disbursement in KSRTC has yet to commence. The government had assured payment of the first installment before the 10th.The High Court was also informed about this.
