Kochi: CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam has asserted that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is being implemented to make India a Hindu nation. He made this statement through a Facebook post.
Binoy Viswam’s Facebook post stated that the biggest challenge India is going to face is the CAA. He mentioned that the BJP government is trying to impose an unforgivable mistake on those who value the country’s secular values. According to him, this move is a very dangerous step towards the creation of a Hindu nation.
The Facebook post also added that the CAA would be faced politically and legally. It mentioned that the CPI would join the case against the CAA in the Supreme Court, considering it a significant challenge. The post further stated that aiming to make religion the basis of citizenship is unacceptable.
