Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala University has appointed a four-member committee to investigate the protests and complaints that occurred during the Youth Festival. Dr. Gopchandran, Adv. G Muraleedharan, R Rajesh, and Dr. Jayan are the members included in the committee. The committee is expected to submit its report within a week of completing the investigation.

The authorities decided to take the issue seriously after judge Shaji committed suicide following accusations of bribery at the youth festival. Saddened by the allegations leveled against him, Shaji took his own life after being called for questioning by the police. The incident has also prompted severe criticism against the Students’ Federation of India (SFI).
