Thrissur: LDF Convener EP Jayarajan reiterated that he had filed a complaint against allegations linking him to P Satheesh Kumar, the main accused in the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank scam case. EP Jayarajan had also stated that the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank scam case is in its final stages and that the DGP has taken his statement.
However, in response to an RTI query filed by Thrissur-based advocate K Pramod, the DGP’s office stated that Jayarajan had not filed a complaint. On February 16, 2024, Pramod received a reply from the DGP’s office stating that EP Jayarajan, as a citizen, LDF convener, or CPI(M) Central Committee Member, did not file any complaint.
In an interview, a person claiming to be P Satheesh Kumar’s former driver revealed that Jayarajan and Satheesh Kumar were in a close relationship. In response to this allegation, Jayarajan stated that it was false, and he had lodged a complaint with the DGP on September 29, 2023, to clarify the truth.
