S Jaishankar inaugurates India Pavilion at 70th Berlin International Film Festival

Berlin: Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S Jaishankar on Wednesday inaugurated the India Pavilion at Berlin International Film Festival, Germany.

The Minister congratulated the Indian entries that have been selected this year. Three Indian feature films as well as one short documentary film have been selected, namely Pushpendra Singh’s Laila Aur Satt Geet, Prateek Vats’ Eeb Allay Ooo!, Akhsay Indikar’s “Sthalpuran” and Ekta Mittal’s short documentary “Gumnaam Din”.

“Inaugurated the India Pavillion at 70th @berlinale, one of the largest public international film festivals. Congratulate the Indian entries selected this year. Our presence here will further popularize Indian cinema & facilitate new business opportunities.@MIB_India,” he tweeted.

The festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the “Big Three” alongside the Venice Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
