Kabul: Taliban Government is facing great tensions and struggles while organising rescue measures to save people who are affected by the worst earthquake in the last 10 years that happened yesterday.

The Government seeks help from the world nations to manage the crisis and to improve their rescue operations.

According to the primary reports, the earthquake that marked 6.1 in the Richter scale has killed more than 1000 people and injured around 1500. The incident took place yesterday morning in the Paktika province, near the Pak border in Afghanistan.

Reports say that the death rate may increase as people get stranded in the narrow valleys.  It is in this situation, the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson requested international assistance.

The health workers say, it is not clear how many people are trapped inside the collapsed buildings. The Taliban Government is carrying out rescue operations with the help of the locals.

Meanwhile, the heavy rain and mudslides complicate the activities.

The United Nation has deployed a health team in the affected areas.

Media reports say the affected areas are subjected to heavy damage and financial loss.

Some areas in Pakistan including Islamabad, Lahore and Kweta regions also faced earthquakes.

The earthquake took place yesterday at 4 am and the intensity increased as it happened at the time when people were asleep.

The financial crisis is also at its peak in Afghanistan. When the Taliban took over the rule, huge financial restrictions were imposed on the banking and developmental sectors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that he would ensure all possible assistance to the distressed people.

The US President has directed the International Development Federal Government Agency to provide assistance.
