Iran: The former US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama extended their solidarity for women on the Anti Hijab protests. In their combined statement they said that the protest is a message that unlawful acts cannot be tolerated anymore. Unlike their past, the women want to change their future. The brave stand of the Iranian women who demand their rights and freedom is commendable. They have their own personal opinions about the way they dress, how to mould their character, their freedom etc. Do not lose your hope under any circumstances. Your life will become more cherishing if you become ready to rebuild your future, said the former US President and his wife.

As per the figures, so far 185 people were killed in the incident. The protest is being held over the death of Mahsa Amini who has been killed for not wearing the Hijab properly.

Thousands of people have come up in protest against the incident. They burned their hijab and cut their hair on behalf of the protests.

Recently, the Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra also supported the protests. Priyanka posted her opinion on his Instagram page.
