London: UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that 3,000 visas will be issued every year to people from India. He clarified that visas are given to the youth of the country to work in the UK. The UK Prime Minister is trying to revive plans for a trade deal with India.

The government has offered around 3,000 places for Indian nationals between the ages of 18 and 30 with at least a bachelor’s degree to come to the UK and work for up to two years. The British government has announced that India is the first country to benefit from such a scheme. The UK Prime Minister’s Office also said that this project will make it possible to strengthen the bilateral relationship and economy with India.

Most of the Indo-Pacific countries have ties with India. A quarter of international students in the UK are Indian nationals. Rishi Sunak made the important announcement hours after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the G20 summit. A trade agreement is being negotiated between the two countries. This would be India’s first deal with a European country. Negotiations are progressing on a deal worth 24 billion pound.
