Bali: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the French President Immanuel Macron on the final day of the G20 Summit. Modi met Macron as the first stage of his meeting with 7 world leaders.
The foreign ministry informed that both France and India defence cooperation have decided to take joint steps in anti terrorist activities. After handing over the first set of Rafael jets, this is the first time Modi and Macron are meeting again.
The ministry also informed that the PM will visit the leaders of Britain, Australia, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain and Indonesia.
On the second day of the G20 Summit, the PM participated in planting trees for the conservation of the mangrove forests. Nations in COP 27 had already informed the importance of planting mangroves. Modi also mentioned the importance of planting mangroves for maintaining biodiversity.
