Kabul: The Taliban Government has banned girls in Afghanistan universities. The Taliban directed that government and private universities should implement the instruction immediately. Higher Education Minister Neda Mohammad Nadeem issued an order in this regard. The order also says to expel the girls who are currently studying in the universities.
The move was strongly condemned by the United Nations, the United States and Britain. America’s UN Ambassador Robert Wood warned that this type of action would isolate Afghanistan among the nations of the world.
The Taliban seized control of Afghanistan in August 2021. After taking up the power, the people are experiencing massive restrictions, human rights violations and denial of rights under the Taliban Government. The Taliban Government still imposes heavy restrictions on women’s freedom of education, employment and travel.
