London: Reports say that Avtar Singh Khanda died in a hospital in Birmingham today. He was had led the protest and violence at Indian High Commission in London on March 19. Khanda is known to be the chief of anti-India terror outfit Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF).
Reports say that the cause of death is unknown and medical report is awaited.
Meanwhile, supporters of Avtar Singh Khanda have begun blaming India for his death. They say that India had poisoned the Khalistani operative. But according to reports, Khanda was already suffering from blood cancer and was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago.
The reports say that Khanda aka Ranjodh Singh, was a political asylum seeker in UK and was involved in radicalizing the Sikh youth for the demand of Khalistan. His father was a terrorist with the KLF and was killed by security forces in 1991, said the report.
Khanda and three others dishonored the Indian Flag hoisted at the Indian High Commission office in London during protests on March 19. The Indian High Commission had alerted the UK intelligence MI-5 of possible attack from Khalistani operatives, the UK police did not take any necessary actions against the anti-India protestors.
