Tel Aviv: Amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared a news on Monday, asserting that the terrorist group’s willingness to commit war crimes is so evident that it can be observed from outer space. The IDF shared satellite images on X that vividly illustrate the contrast between Israel’s appearance before and after the series of attacks launched by Hamas on October 7. The IDF stated, “The lengths Hamas is willing to go to commit war crimes are visible even from outer space.”
Also, the Israel Defense Forces posted another series of images showcasing some of the weapons seized from Hamas. The IDF emphasized their commitment to destroy Hamas terrorists’ infrastructure and weapons manufacturing capabilities in Gaza.
In a video accompanying the post, an Israeli soldier explained, “All the munitions that you see in here are about approximately 20 percent of what Hamas terrorists brought on their vehicles. You can see different kinds of shapes, charges, rockets, RPGs, grenades, and all kinds of stuff around here.” He went on to describe, “You can see by the amount of munitions, the medical equipment, and food that they brought with them that they were prepared for a long term in villages. You can see by the symbols on all the equipment that everything is homemade of Hamas, homemade production.”
On October 7, 2023, a conflict erupted between Israel and Hamas, the militant Islamist group that has maintained control over Gaza since 2006. The situation escalated when Hamas launched rockets into Israel and initiated attacks into southern Israeli cities and towns situated along the border of the Gaza Strip. This sudden attack resulted in the loss of numerous lives, including both soldiers and civilians, and led to the capture of multiple hostages.
The attack led Israel to immediately start a retaliatory operation. Merely a day after the October 7 attack, the Israeli cabinet officially declared war against Hamas. Following this declaration, the defense minister issued a directive to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to initiate a “complete siege” of Gaza, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.
