Damascus: Israel has reportedly killed a senior general of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, General Razi Mousavi, in an airstrike in Syria. Mousavi is the most senior commander to be killed outside Iran. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces have not confirmed this. The slain Razi Mousavi was a key adviser to the Quds Force, the foreign arm of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
It is reported that General Mousavi was killed in a missile attack in the Zainabiya district of Damascus, the Syrian capital. After the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists also intensified their attacks on the Jewish state in a bid to support Hamas. This has led to Israeli counter-attacks into Syria and Lebanon.
