Melbourne (Australia): Australian opener David Warner has been added to the Aussies squad for the remaining Testa against India, but is doubtful of being fully fit for the game in Sydney. Warner who succumbed injury during the ODI Series is on his way to recovery from the groin strain.
During a virtual press meet Warner said that he would do anything to be 100 per cent fit for the game. “We all got a training session today and tomorrow, so I can’t give you anymore indication where I am at. I haven’t ran the last couple of days but after today and tomorrow probably it will give me a better indication of where I am”, said Warner.
Earlier this week, assistant coach Andrew McDonald hinted the opening batsman might play even if he’s not a 100 per cent fit.
The four-match Test series is currently ties (1-1) with the visitors bagging the Boxing Day Test.
