Mumbai: In a stunning display of all-round prowess, Deepti Sharma propelled Bharat to the biggest Test victory against England on the third day of the test match. The historic win marked Bharat’s first Test triumph over England on home soil, securing a commanding victory of 347 runs.

This triumph marked a significant achievement in women’s Test cricket, as Bharat surpassed the historical milestone set by Sri Lanka in 1998, securing victory over Pakistan by a margin of 309 runs.

Deepti Sharma, who played a stellar role, was named the player of the match for her outstanding performance, taking nine wickets and contributing 87 runs throughout the match.

Heather Knight emerged as the top scorer for England, managing to score 21 runs in the challenging conditions set by the Indian team. Bharat declared their second innings at 186-6.

Deepti Sharma continued her dominance in the second innings, claiming five wickets, while Pooja Vastrakar secured three wickets, Rajeshwari Gayakwad bagged two, and Renuka Singh contributed with one wicket.
