Threads, Meta’s social media platform, has unveiled new features. These additions are aimed at enhancing user engagement and overall functionality within the platform. The newly introduced features include the ability to track view counts, create polls, generate GIFs, and pin posts to user profiles.
Threads and Instagram head ,Adam Mosseri, recently announced the rollout of GIFs and polls for all users on the platform. Users can easily create a poll by tapping the bottom right corner when composing a post, with the option to include up to four choices. The polls will remain open for 24 hours, and Threads will notify all participants once the polling period ends.
In addition, users can now add GIFs to their posts by selecting the desired GIF through the designated icon. As of now, each post can accommodate only one GIF. Threads is also experimenting with two additional features: view counts and pinned posts.
