Thiruvananthapuram: iQOO is gearing up to launch its latest mid-range smartphone, the iQOO Z9 5G, in Bharat on March 12. Several key specifications and the expected price of the smartphone have been released online.
According to reports, the iQOO Z9 5G is anticipated to boost a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. Under the hood, the mid-range device is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and support for virtual RAM.
In terms of camera capabilities, the iQOO Z9 5G is expected to feature a dual-camera setup at the back, comprising a 50MP IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, the device may boast a 16MP front-facing shooter.
Software-wise, the smartphone is likely to run on Funtouch OS 14 based on the latest Android 14 operating system, similar to the setup seen on the recently launched iQOO Neo 9 Pro. Additionally, the iQOO Z9 5G is speculated to house a robust 5,000mAh battery pack, which could be quickly charged via the 44W charger provided inside the box.
As for pricing, Brar predicts that the iQOO Z9 5G could be priced between the Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 mark in Bharat. However, it’s important to note that this pricing is based on rumors, and the official price and specifications will be revealed by iQOO itself on March 12.
iQOO recently unveiled the premium mid-range smartphone, iQOO Neo 9 Pro, priced under the Rs. 40,000 , aiming to compete with devices like the OnePlus 12R and establish itself as a formidable contender in the ‘flagship killer’ smartphone category.
