NewDelhi: CBI questioned Congress leader K C Venugopal in connection with solar rape case. The questioning which was supposed to be held in Thiruvananthapuram was conducted in Delhi as Venugopal was there.
The complaint is that Venugopal tried to torture her when they met at A P Anil Kumar’s house for the purpose of tourism project. The incident took place in 2012. The complainant had submitted the digital evidence against Venugopal to the CBI.
The crime branch was the first to investigate the case. Later, the state government handed over the case to the CBI.
